We’re excited to share a new milestone in the Bazarium journey: Bazarium is now part of Berlin Startup School, a community supporting founders and early-stage startups as they turn ideas into real businesses.
For us, joining the Berlin startup ecosystem is more than just another program. It is an opportunity to learn, connect with other founders, challenge our assumptions, and continue building Bazarium into something people genuinely want to use.
What is Bazarium?
Bazarium is a circular economy platform that makes it easier for people to swap items locally.
Most of us have things at home that we no longer need or want. At the same time, someone nearby might be looking for exactly those things.
Instead of buying something new, Bazarium helps people discover what others have available, show interest, match when there is mutual interest, and then arrange the swap.
The idea is simple:
You have something someone else wants. They have something you want. Why not swap?
Our goal is to make swapping a normal and convenient alternative to buying new products.
Why Berlin Startup School?
Building a startup is not only about developing a product.
It is also about understanding customers, testing assumptions, finding the right business model, building a strong team, communicating the idea clearly, and learning how to grow.
That is why being part of a strong startup community is valuable for us.
Berlin Startup School supports founders through different programs, coaching, mentorship, community activities and startup resources. Its programs are designed to help founders develop their ideas, build prototypes, validate their businesses and move toward the next stage of their startup journey.

From a startup idea to a real product
Bazarium started with a simple observation: people own many things they no longer use, while buying new products remains the default option.
We wanted to explore whether technology could make swapping as easy and engaging as modern marketplace apps.
Today, Bazarium is already available on iOS and Android, and we are continuing to improve the product based on feedback from real users.
Our current focus is on local communities and building enough activity in one place for swapping to become useful and fun.
That means we are not only building technology.
We are building a community.
What we want to learn
Being part of Berlin Startup School comes at an important stage for Bazarium.
We want to use this opportunity to become better at:
